An electric car battery, when fully charged, can travel 520 miles. As the car travels, the charge decreases at a rate of 89 miles every 1 hour.

Enter an equation in slope-intercept form or y = mx + b that shows the amount of battery charge y, in miles, after traveling for x hours.

Answer:

The car can only last for 5 hours.

That's the answer I got.

5.84269662

Explanation:

Alright so say I was driving for 2 hours I would have,

342 miles left.

If I were driving for 3 hours I would have,

253 miles left.

If I were driving for 4 hours I would have,

164 miles left.

Now if I were driving for 5 hours I would have,

75 miles left.
