Explanation:

Put these equations in slope intercept form


5x - y = - 2


- y = - 2 - 5x


y = 2 + 5x

And for the other,


3x + y = 6


y = - 3x + 6

For both equations, we have different slope and different y intercept so they are eventually going to intersect once.
