Explain why a solid steel ball sinks in water but a steel ships floats in water

because of its displacement, a ship displaces water. when a steel ball does not.

floating had to do with the pressure rather than the weight

the water pressure on the bottom of the boat is so hard and pushing that it causes it to float.. And the steel ball has alot of density. which is causing it to sink
