I need help understanding the working out for this question:Assuming that for snowshoe hare one generation corresponds to 2 years, find the number of ancestors (parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, etc.) that a hare might have over the 33 year period since the world wide web was created (or the Berlin Wall was demolished).(This is an exercise involving summation, of a geometric series.)

Given:

One generation corresponds = 2 year

Total year =33

Find-:

Number of ancestors

Explanation-:

If one generation takes 2 years then in 33 years,

\begin{gathered} =(33)/(2) \\ \\ =16.5 \end{gathered}

That means in 33 years 16 ancestors.

Series is:

a_n=(n)/(2)

Where,

\begin{gathered} n=\text{ Number of year} \\ \\ a_n=\text{ Ancestors} \end{gathered}
