When graphing the dots the first number is x and the second is y. when you graph the dots it should line up and look like a straight line, it doesnt matter if its diagonal as long as its straight. thats one of the reasons on why its proportional. graph the third box. (-2,-4) (-1,-2) (1,2) (2,4). thats the only box with a proportional relationship because when checking if its proportional you put the y over x to make it a fraction. for example, 2/1 which simplified is just 2. then you do that again with the rest of the table. using the third table it would be -4/-2 which simplified is 4/2 2/1 also known as 2. -2/-1 2/1 2. 2/1 2. 4/2 2/1 2. all of those simplified is 2 meaning its proportional. hope this helps!
