Okay so, if he is getting a console for $17.50, then you first want to do is subtract that from the total amount that he has which is $49.

49 - 17.50 = $31.50

Now each game costs $5.25

You can either just keep adding 5.25 by itself until you get to 31.50, or you can just divide 31.50 by 5.25, but I am going to just multiply then by certain numbers until I get the result.

5.25 * 5 = 26.25 so we know he can buy more than 5.

5.25 * 6 = 31.50

He can buy 6 games!
