Y = 22

B is 40° and A and C are congruent. Since triangles are 180°, A and C would each be 70°. Angle C and 5y are supplementary, meaning they add up to 180°. If Angle C is 70°, then angle 5y would be 110°. In order to find y, 110 will be divided by 5, resulting the answer to be 22.
