Explain the theory of appeasement. Why do you think it led to war in Europe?

Answer: Appeasement encouraged Hitler to be more aggressive, with each victory giving him confidence and power. With more land, Germany became better defended, with more soldiers, workers, raw materials, weapons, and industries. This then shows the first way that appeasement caused World War Two.

Explanation: appeasement is, Foreign policy of pacifying an aggrieved country through negotiation to prevent war. The prime example is Britain's policy toward Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany in the 1930s.
