Move 5 to the other side of the inequality

- 1/2 x > 25

Multiply both sides by 2, to get rid of the denominator on the left side

-x > 50

Now switch the inequality sign and multiply to get the minus on the other side

5-(1)/(2) x > 30

Simplify:


-(1)/(2) x+5 > 30

Subtract 5 from both sides:


-(1)/(2) x+5-5 > 30-5


-(1)/(2) x > 25

Multiply both sides by
-(2)/(1):


-(2)/(1) *(-(1)/(2) x) > -(2)/(1) *(25)
