We have to calculate how much longer is the March 21 eclipse compared to the June 21 eclipse.

The March eclipse last 8 7/15 minutes, and the June eclipse last 3 4/5 minutes.

We can calculate this as:

\begin{gathered} 8(7)/(15)-3(4)/(5)=(8-3)+((7)/(15)-(4)/(5))=4+((7)/(15)-(4\cdot3)/(15))=4+(7-12)/(15)=4-(5)/(15) \\ \\ 4-(5)/(15)=4-(1)/(3)=(4\cdot3-1)/(3)=(12-1)/(3)=(11)/(3)=(9+2)/(3)=3(2)/(3) \end{gathered}

The March eclipse last 3 2/3 minutes more than the June eclipse.
