Answer:

To find : (30 gallons 3 quarts 1 pint) x 5

we get,

\begin{gathered} 30\text{ gallons}*5=150\text{ gallons} \\ 3\text{ quarts}*5=15\text{ quarts} \\ 1\text{ pints}*5=5\text{ pints} \end{gathered}

we know that,

1 gallons=4 quarts

1 quarts=2 pints

Using this conversion we get,

15\text{ quarts}=(15)/(4)\text{gallons}=3\text{ gallons 3 quarts}
5\text{ pints}=(5)/(2)\text{ quarts}=2\text{ quarts }1\text{ pint}

we get,

(30\text{ gallons 3 quarts 1 pints})*5=150\text{ gallons+15 quarts+5 pints}

Substitute the conversions we get,

=150\text{ gallons}+3\text{ gallons+3 quarts+2 quarts + 1 pint}
=153\text{ gallons+4 quarts+1quart+1pint}
=153\text{ gallons+1 gallon+1 quart+1 pint}
undefined
