Line g has an equation of y= 1/3x–1. Parallel to line g is line h, which passes through the point (10,2). What is the equation of line h?

The formula we will use for this problem is Y-Y1=M(X-X1) and the form equation g is in right now is y=mx-b. We are going to use the point (10,2) and the slope 1/3: 10=x1 2=y1 and 1/3=M. Plug the number in the formula(Y-Y1=M(X-X1)) which would be y-2=1/3(x-10) do distributive property
Y-2=1/3x-10/3 move -2 to the other side by adding both sides by 2
Y=1/3x-10/3+2 add like terms
Then Y=1/3x-4/3 is your answer
