In geometry, a transversal is a line that intersects two or more other lines. When two or more lines are cut by a transversal, the angles which occupy the same relative position are called corresponding angles .

It is given that <1 = <2

Then m<3 = m<4, since


\begin{gathered} <1+m<3=90 \\ <2+m<4=90 \\ <1=<2=x \\ m<3=90-x=m<4 \end{gathered}

Therefore, m<3 = m<4.
