It posed numerous challenges to the nomadic lifestyle they practiced. The harsh climate and topography limited the soil's capability for agriculture, making it difficult for tribes to establish settlements. Additionally, the vast expanses of land and scarcity of water sources often made life difficult for the tribes. However, this unforgiving landscape also enabled the Mongols to become expert horsemen, capable of swiftly traveling and covering incredibly long distances. It also taught them to be hardy and resourceful, training them with the skills necessary to survive and thrive in a region where resources were scarce.
