First, calculate the surface area of the inside of the tank by multiplying the length, width, and height: 3 m * 2 m * 1.5 m = 9 m^2.

Then, calculate the surface area of the outside of the tank by adding the surface area of all 6 sides: 2 * (3 m * 1.5 m + 2 m * 1.5 m + 3 m * 2 m) = 24 m^2.

Finally, add the surface area of the inside and outside to get the total surface area: 9 m^2 + 24 m^2 = 33 m^2.

To find the amount of paint required, divide the total surface area by the coverage per kg of paint: 33 m^2 / 20 m^2/kg = 1.65 kg.
