Answer:

To subtract or add a fraction you must first find a common deniminator between the two.

you can use 10 as a common denomonator in this case.

3 x 2 = 6

5 x 2 = 10

your new fraction to replace 3/5 is 6/10

Now, your equation would be 7/10 - 6/10 = 1/10

Your answer is 1/10
