Using the Pythagorean theroem we can solve this right triangle. We have 3 sides lets call them "a" "b" and "c"

side "a" will be 5

side "b" is the side we don't know

side "c" will be 6

the formula says that
a^2+b^2=c^2 so that also means
5^2+b^2=6^2

then we can just solve with algebra


5^2+b^2=6^2


25+b^2=36


b^2=11

so take the square root of both sides

b =
√(11)
