⇒To figure out b you have already been given an equation :
a^(2) +b^(2) =c^(2)

derived by Pythagoras

⇒n order to find the value of b the then in the given equation make b the subject of the formula:

b^(2) =c^(2) -a^(2) \\b=\sqrt{c^(2)-b^(2) }

where your c us the hypotenuse equal to 6

where b is the adjacent side

where a is the opposite side equal 4

b=\sqrt{(6)^(2) -(4)^(2) } \\b=√(36-16) \\b=√(20) \\b=2√(5)

GOODLUCK!!
