For a triangle to exist:

A + B > C

B + C > A

A + C > B

We know already...

A = 13

B = 16

C = ?

Using the rules,

B + C > A

16 + C > 13

^ This won't tell us what C is because C would be 0 and obviously that wouldn't work for a triangle.

We'll try a different rule...

A + C > B

13 + C > 16

So, C would be 4. Because that's the smallest whole number that makes the equation true.

(Let's double check with all our rules to make sure it works for all of them)

A + B > C

13 + 16 > 4 <--True

B + C > A

16 + 4 > 13 <-- True

And we already did the last one, so we don't need to check that one.

So, C is equal to 4.
