Explain why this system of equations

has infinite solutions.
2y = x + 4
-6y=-3x - 12

I'm not really sure my answer will count but...

I want to try anyway

If any value for the variable makes the equation true, it is an infinite solution.

And...

When solved, u will arrive at a variable equal to the equation itself
