Answer:

infinite number of solutions

Explanation:

(4)/(5) (x + 9) -
(1)/(5) x =
(3)/(5) (x + 12)

multiply through by 5 to clear the fractions

4(x + 9) - x = 3(x + 12) ← distribute parenthesis on both sides

4x + 36 - x = 3x + 36

3x + 36 = 3x + 36

since both sides are the same then any value of x will make the equation true.

Thus there are an infinite number of solutions
