(EC)/(BC) =
(DE)/(AB) ( substitute values )


(2x+3)/(13x-1.5) =
(6)/(21) ( cross- multiply )

6(13x - 1.5) = 21(2x + 3) ← distribute parenthesis on both sides

78x - 9 = 42x + 63 ( subtract 42x from both sides )

36x - 9 = 63 ( add 9 to both sides )

36x = 72 ( divide both sides by 36 )

x = 2
