Congruent Sides

Additionally, the sides with 2 tick marks are congruent and the same for the sides with 3 tick marks. Thus, it can be said that the sides of the triangles are congruent to each other.

One of the most common relationships is side, side, side. This relationship occurs when 2 triangles have 3 sides that are congruent to each other. Side, side, side is usually shortened to SSS. This relationship will always prove congruency because triangles cannot have equal sides without the angles also being congruent.
