Answer: y = -4.5x

Explanation:

To see if there is a direct variation, we will check to see if there is a direct proportionality constant (usually represented by k). We will find this by dividing the y by x for each row.

45/-10 = -4.5

-4.5/1 = -4.5

-27/6 = -4.5

We see that this direct proportionality constant value is -4.5. This means the equation is;

y = -4.5x

We can also check our answer by graphing. I have graphed y = -4.5x and plotted all the given points. See attached. All of the given points do, and should if we are correct, fall on the line.
