HELP PLS ASAP! I WILL GIVE 20 POINTS! Read the following excerpt from Susan B. Anthony's On Women's Right to Vote. Then, answer the question that follows.

Friends and fellow citizens: I stand before you tonight under indictment for the alleged crime of having voted at the last presidential election, without having a lawful right to vote.

Which rhetorical appeal or device does Susan B. Anthony use in the opening of her speech?

Ethos, because she creates trust by calling her audience her friends and fellow citizens to show she's just like them
Irony, because she is saying something that is the opposite of what she means about women's right to vote
Logos, because she presents facts and statistics about women's right to vote
Rhetorical question, because she wants the reader to think about an issue through a question

Answer: Ethos, because she creates trust by calling her audience her friends and fellow citizens to show she's just like them.

Explanation: Ethos is the only plausible answer because you can eliminate Logos and Rhetorical Questions. All that is left is Irony and Ethos. Then, Irony can be disqualified because she doesn't mention the Women's Right To Vote. I could be wrong, but it SHOULD be Ethos.

Hope this helps!
