First you make 4x the subject of the formula(stand alone) then you carry 7 to the right side of 11 which then becomes +7

which is 4x=7+11

Then you add 7+11

which is equals 18

this is how the solving look like after following the previous steps

4x=18.

Then you divide both sides by 4 which is

4/4=18/4

x=4.5
