At the microscopic scale, water looks like a clear liquid with no visible particles. At the atomic molecular scale, water is composed of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom, forming a V-shaped molecule. Ethanol is composed of two carbon atoms, one oxygen atom, and six hydrogen atoms, forming a tetrahedral molecule.
