In a lab experiment, 70 bacteria are placed

in a petri dish. The conditions are such that
the number of bacteria is able to double
every 26 hours. How many bacteria would
there be after 21 hours, to the nearest whole
number?

Answer:

Au bout de 21 heures, la population de bactéries a doublé 21/26 de fois, soit (21/26) * 70 = 55 bactéries.

La population de bactéries est donc de 70 + 55 = 125 bactéries, arrondi au nombre entier le plus proche.
