To solve this question we have to form two equations with two variables and after solving these two we can find the required value

Let, the cost of 1 bagel is x

And the cost of 1 glass of orange juice is y

Now,According to the question

x+y= 8.25-----------------(1)

and

3x+4y=28.5-------------(2)

From equation 1 we can find the value y which is y=8.25-x, after this, we have to put this value in the second equation to find out the value of x

Now putting this y value in equation 2 we get:

3x+4(8.25-x)=28.5

⇒3x+33-4x=28.5

⇒-x=-4.5

⇒x=4.5

Therefore the cost of one bagel is 4.5.
