Hello

the question here today is a simple question which can be solved if we relate both of them. It's similar to variations

the question state 8x = 2y

\begin{gathered} 8x=2y \\ \text{solve for y} \\ \text{divide both sides by 8 to do this?} \\ (8x)/(2)=(2y)/(2) \\ y=4x \end{gathered}

if y = 4x, and x = 2, what would y equals to

simply substitute the value of x into y = 4x to solve for y

\begin{gathered} y=4x \\ y=4(2) \\ y=8 \end{gathered}

when x = 2, y = 8
