Section off the figures into easy shapes to determine area. I divided as shown in each of the screenshots. Multiply the length by width and you have area for that small section. Ex: 7x3=21. Then do this for all sections. When this is done, add all of the sections and you have total area.

Tip: To find missing side lengths, reference parallel sides for total length. Ex: On the first example, the top middle segment is missing, but we see the sides are 7 and 5. The parallel side (the bottom) is equal to 24, so the top must be equal to 24 as well. Solve by taking 24-(7+5)= 12 or 24-12=12. So the top middle segment is 12cm.
