Solve for x and y:

10x = 5y + 5
y = 2x - 1
O x = 0, y = - 1

Answer:

There are an infinite number of solutions.

Explanation:

since we know y=2x-1, we can use the substitution method and plug 2x-1 into the first equation for y.

so we get 10x=5(2x-1)+5

distribute, 5 × 2x = 10x 5 × -1 = -5

10x=10x-5+5

10x=10x

x=x

This will work with any value for x so there are an infinite number of solutions.

Hope this helps!
