Sure you can !

-- The x-coordinate of the midpoint is the average (halfway between)
the x-coordinates of the end-points.

-- The y-coordinate of the midpoint is the average (halfway between)
the y-coordinates of the end-points.

The midpoint of the line segment between (9, 5) and (17, 4) is (13, 4.5) .

D(17,4), \ \ \ C(9,5) \\\\Midpoint \ Formula :\\\\(x,y)=\left ( (x_(1)+x_(2))/(2),(y_(1)+y_(2))/(2) \right )\\\\x_(1)=17, \ \ \ x_(2)=9\\y_(1 )=4\ \ \ y_(2)=5 \\\\(x,y)=\left ( (17+9)/(2),(4+5)/(2) \right )\\\\(x,y)=\left ( (26)/(2),(9)/(2) \right )\\\\(x,y)=\left (13,4.5 \right )
