y= - (3)/(4)x - (5)/(4)\ \ is \ a \ linear \ equation\\\\The \ graph \ of \ \ y= - (3)/(4)x - (5)/(4) \ \ is \ a \ straight \ line

x=-7 \ \to \ \ y= - (3)/(4)x - (5)/(4)= - (3)/(4) \cdot (-7) - (5)/(4)=(21)/(4) - (5)/(4)=(16)/(4)=4 \\\\x=5 \ \to \ \ y=- (3)/(4) \cdot 5 - (5)/(4)=-(15)/(4) - (5)/(4)=-(20)/(4)= -5

What type of equation is y= -3/4x -5/4?-example-1
