The carbohydrate is a biomolecule formed by carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen atoms, some examples of carbohydrates are the sugars and starches. Below is the draw of a carbohydrate molecule.
The monomers are the monosaccharides that are building blocks for all sugars structures, while the polymers (such as polysaccharides) consists of two or more monosaccharides. Glucose is the most common exemple of a monomers, as is shown in the picture.
