This question is about Declaration of Independence. When document was prepared committee members knew that it must bear the moral foundation. The document have many grievances specially illuminated by Jefferson himself, specifically grievances towards British Empire such as,
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed, by their Creator, with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.
That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed,
These grievances make the basis of the Declaration. The division of the government to executive, legislative and judicial branches is an example of grievances, as well.
