The answer would be C. Because it finishes its total idea. The rest of the examples stop when they should continue to provide the information needed for it to become a full sentence. Hope this helps!!

C because the other three do not provide all the information necessary. For example, what happened after I read the Scarlett Letter? If she doesn't like Marge Kilgo who plays on the team, what happens? C explains exactly what bothered Melanie.
