A simple sugar involves one component of carbohydrates. Simple sugars are types of carbohydrates that are usually called monosaccharides.
Monosaccharides are said to have the lowest and simplest of carbohydrates than disaccharide and polysaccharide.

Glucose
Fructose
Glactose
Ribose
