think:
what times 5 equals 40
or divide

40 divided by 5 = 8

5 times 8 =40

Solve:-

40 stars
each row = 5 stars
How many rows?

Divide to find how many rows:-

40 ÷ 5 = 8 rows of 5 stars each

Check:-

5 × 8 = 40
Correct!

8 rows of 5 stars each
