What do these lines from the passage imply about worldly occupations?

"It is required of every man," the Ghost returned, "that the spirit within him should walk abroad among his fellowmen, and travel far and wide; and if that spirit goes not forth in life, it is condemned to do so after death."
Higher spiritual aims should replace a desire to make money.
A community's needs are equally, if not more, important than individual gain.
A life dedicated to making money is sinful.
A good life is one that is marked by travel in one’s country and abroad.

I would say that these lines from the passage imply that a community's needs are equally, if not more, important than individual gain.
