Conflict is happens when either one of the individuals have misunderstanding, in this case, the parent and the youth. It may lead to active listening, communication and responsibility. Communication is a two way process wherein there is a messenger (one who talks) and receiver (one who listens). This is a responsibility of both the messenger/ giver (parents) or receiver (youth). Another is active listening, when you give your full attention to the person who is talking, absorbing his ideas, opinions, suggestions on a subject matter and respond accordingly with respect. Lastly is being responsible is owing up to the possible consequences of your decision whether it was right or wrong.
