. A law office is installing new file cabinets. Each file drawer can hold records for 50 clients, and each cabinet has 5 drawers. If the office has 600 clients, how many cabinets should be ordered to store the existing files?

The number of records that each file drawer can hold = 50 clients
The number of drawers in each cabinet = 5
Total number of clients that the office has = 600
The total number of files that a cabinet can hold = 50 * 5
= 250
Then
The number of cabinets that needs to be ordered = 600/250
= 12/5
= 2 2/5
So 3 cabinets need to be ordered by the company. I hope the procedure is clear enough for you to understand.
