At the amusement park, Laura paid $6.00 for a small cotton candy. Her older brother works at the park, and he told her they markup the cotton candy by 300%. Laura does not think this is mathematically possible. Is it possible, and if so, what is the price of the cotton candy before the markup?

I will try my best, also in middle school...

300%/100%= 3

$6.00 divided by 3 = $2.00

So, $2.00 is your answer and yes, it is mathematically possible. Hope this helps! :)

I am not sure about this question because im in middle school but still tried it so....
300%/100=3
$6.00/3=$2.00

Before the markup the cotton candy cost $2.00
