Set up a proportion. 155/100 = x/120. Solve: 120*155 = 100x, 18600 = 100x, 186 = x. This can also be done by devising 55% of 120 and adding it to 120 (55/100 = x/120, 120*55 = 100x, 6600 = 100x, 66 = x, 120+66= 186).

So you have to find 55% of 120. This is 66.
Now it says increased by 55%, so you add 66 to 120.
Answer: 186
