4 is the whole number and 1/3 is the fraction. You can turn this mixed number into an improper fraction. Multiply the denominator of the fraction by the whole
number and then add the numerator to your answer.

20/10 = 2
10*2 = 20
There are 2 wholes in 20/10
Answer: 2/1 or 2
