A multiple is a number that results from multiplication of two numbers. So multiples of 3 are 3, 6, 9, 12, and so on. Multiples of 10 are 10, 20, 30, 40, 50...etc.

A multiple of a number is the answer you get when you multiply that number by any
whole
number.
Examples:
The
first
multiple of 3 is 3 x
1
= 3
The
fourth
multiple of 3 is 3 x
4
=
12
The fourth multiple of 7 is 7 x 4 = 28
