Regular price = 495 X (( 100 ))/(66) = 750

Here's the way I like to do these:

-- You know that a whole thing is 100% of it.

-- So 34% less than the whole thing is (100 - 34) = 66% of it .

-- In this problem, 66% of the regular price is $495 .

-- 66% means 0.66 , and "of" means "times" .

(0.66) times (the regular price) = $495

Divide each side by 0.66 :

The regular price = $495/0.66 = $750 .
