5(2)+3(4)=10+12=22
(5+2)(3+4)=(7)(12)=84

$5a+3b=5\cdot2+3\cdot4=10+12=22\\\\(5+a)(3+b) =(5+2)\cdot(3+4)=7\cdot7=49$
