2(24x - 18) = 48x - 36
3(16x-12) = 48x - 36
4(12x - 9) = 48x - 36
Therefore, they all equal
48x - 36

Use the distributive property, which states:
a(b+c) = ab + ac
a(b-c) = ab - ac
2(24x - 18) = 2(24x) - 2(18) =
48x - 36
3(16x - 12) = 3(16x) - 3(12) =
48x - 36
4(12x - 9) = 4(12x) - 4(9) =
48x - 36
All of the expressions are equivalent to
48x - 36
.
