A high BMI or Body Mass Index is not associated with an increased health risk when the person exercises regularly and eats healthy. Exercise and a balanced diet are contributing factors to good body composition. If a person is engage in these practices, problems with physique are less likely to be experienced by a person. BMI is the ratio of a person's height in proportion to his weight to determine whether a person has a low or high chance of getting health related diseases. There are specific standards to determine BMI and these are:
a. BMIs that range under 18.5 are considered underweight
b. BMI between the range of 25 to 29.9 is overweight;
c. people who are obese have a BMI that ranges from 30 or higher.
